Recently I was beyond thrilled to be able to go and visit Hever Castle, better known as the birth place of Anne Boleyn in Kent. For those that know me, you probably know that Anne Boleyn was the first historical figure I truly adored and arguably one of the reasons I first fell in love with history. It was SO good to be able to go back to the beginning of her story. Being at Hever, I couldn’t help but think of a young Anne who could not possibly have imagined the life she would lead and the legacy she still has five hundred years later. This isn’t a particularly long post but I thought I’d just show you a few of the pictures I got whilst I was there.
If you haven’t been, are a Tudor/Anne Boleyn fan and get the chance to go then I absolutely would!! Not only is the castle beautiful but the grounds are so lovely and a real treat.
Hope you enjoyed the pictures!! I have another post that’s almost done that will be up after the weekend! See you soon.
Alexandra.
